School Meals

Meals at Scholes J & I School

School meals are cooked on the premises and served cafeteria-style.  The meals are very good value for money and are to be recommended.  Our menus follow ‘healthy choice’ guidelines.  Our kitchen is rated as ‘very good'  with 5*

We are pleased to let you know that from Monday 8 April, we will be working with a new catering provider. We will be working with Academy Catering to provide high-quality meal options to all our pupils. We will have a 3-option menu for the summer term so children have more choice, from a wider variety of menu options.

The good news is that there is no change at all to the process for children and families. Meals will still be paid for in advance using ParentPay and children will still choose their lunch each morning on arrival to school in the same way.

Healthy Eating

As part of our Healthy Schools consultation process we regularly involve pupils and parents in discussions around healthy eating.

Children may bring a packed lunch, or indeed go home for their midday meal. Children are not allowed to bring sweets, chocolate bars or anything containing nuts (including hummus as this has a sesame seed derivative in it) in with their packed lunches.
